Home Description
Description of the home
🏡 A relaxed, spacious home in a quiet neighbourhood
We’re offering a room in a lovely, spacious home located on a small, quiet street — perfect if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to come home to while still being close enough to the city for work and socialising.
We’re surrounded by local parks and open fields, giving the area a nice, relaxed feel without being far from everything you need.
🚍 Getting around
Public transport is really convenient. There’s a bus stop just a 2-minute walk from the house, with buses taking around 5 minutes to Ashfield Station. From Ashfield, you can reach Central in roughly 15 minutes, so getting into the city for work or going out is still really easy.
🛋️ The home
We have a large living room where we often watch movies and TV series together. You’re more than welcome to join us, but there’s absolutely no pressure — if you prefer to have your own space and relax in your room, that’s completely fine too.
We’re a social and friendly household, but we’re also respectful of everyone’s personal space. The main things we ask are good communication, consideration for others and keeping shared spaces respectful.
There are also two living areas, including another space in the garage. This is great if you want somewhere separate to watch something, relax, or even set up a gaming setup. You’re welcome to make use of the space.
🐾 Our very friendly housemate
We also have an assistance animal living with us. He is extremely friendly, has a great personality and loves being around people. His owner is responsible for his feeding and care, so you won’t be expected to look after him.
That said, if you’re lucky, he may decide you’re his new best friend and come over for a cuddle on the sofa while you’re watching TV!
🚗 Parking & local amenities
We’re very lucky to have our own driveway, and there’s also plenty of street parking available nearby.
There’s a lovely little café just 2 minutes down the road, with plenty of other cafés, restaurants and local spots around the area.
Ashfield Mall is about 5 minutes away by bus, where you’ll find Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and Kmart, along with plenty of pubs, restaurants and other shops nearby.
Overall, it’s a great balance of peaceful suburban living, plenty of space and easy access to the city — ideal for someone who wants a friendly home to come back to without feeling like they’re living right in the middle of the city.

We live with a large, trained service dog. He’s super friendly, but it’s important to respect his training (e.g. no feeding scraps, keep kitchen and upstairs doors closed, and don’t let him outside without us).
No other mammals, sorry — unless you’re an a vet trainer or animal professional we can discuss
