Hey everyone! I’m looking for a friendly, responsible and tidy housemate to rent the second room in a lovely unit on Abercrombie Street, Darlington. The location offers super convenient access to the University of Sydney, UTS, the CBD and is very close to Redfern train station.

About the room & apartment
• Spacious private bedroom
• Current housemate is happy to leave the bed behind if you’d like to purchase it for $50
• Living area will be unfurnished once he moves out, great if you have furniture or would like to help set up the space
• Apartment already includes a fridge and washing machine (owned by me)
• Located on Level 2 (stairs only, no lift)

Bills & lease
• Bills split evenly
• Internet is $70/month (split)
• You’ll need to sign onto a one-year lease
• Looking for someone long term

Move-in timing
• Preferred move-in date: 14 March
• Can move in anytime before the end of March if needed
• Earlier move-in may also be possible depending on when the current housemate relocates

• Someone who cleans up after themselves and helps keep common areas tidy
• Prefer a working professional rather than a student
• Guests are welcome, I just appreciate a heads-up in advance. I prefer a calm home environment rather than a party house.

A quick note for transparency
I have a partner who visits from Canberra roughly once every couple of months and stays for up to a week. He’s very respectful of the shared space and I always ensure it’s comfortable for everyone.

Property note
There was a previous leak issue in the room from the roof. This has been cosmetically repaired and it is not currently leaking. The real estate agency is actively working with Strata management toward a permanent fix. I’m very happy to share full details during inspection so you can make an informed decision.
Inspections are very welcome, I want you to feel comfortable and confident before moving in.
