Seeking a respectful, clean, trustworthy and reliable housemate to rent a spacious, and unfurnished private room in a quiet home located in Kelvin Grove.

While the suburb is bustling and highly connected, our home sits in a peaceful, quiet residential pocket. It is an ideal retreat for someone who wants to be close to the city, local hospitals or schools but values a calm, respectful environment to come home to after work.

The house is situated within walking distance of KGSC (5 minutes), QUT (10 minutes), UQ (15 minutes) and RBWH (20 minutes). Kelvin Grove town has an array of shops including Woolies, chemists, cafes, restaurants etc. not to mention they markets every Saturday.

You can bring your own bed and furniture to set up the space exactly how you like it! The room does have built in wardrobes and Ceiling Fan. The main living area has a air conditioning unit and ceiling fan. There is also front and rear sun rooms which has ceiling fans and a place to relax as well as the kitchen.

You will be sharing the property with myself and my polite, awesome easy going 9-year-old son who is with me every second week. Because this is a family household, we maintain a positive, stable, and routine-oriented environment.

What is Included:
Rent: $400 per week.
Bond: 4 weeks rent ($1,600).
Bills Included: NB 500gbps Wi-Fi, electricity and water (no hidden utility surprises).
The Space: Medium / Large unfurnished bedroom, sharing a main bathroom, living areas, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Off street parking: Parking spot is available for you.
Storage: We can accommodate a storage spot for you down in the garage for small to medium items.
Gardens: We have front, rear and side gardens which I maintain.

About You:
We are looking for a mature, single working professional, hospital employee, or regional worker who is friendly, clean, and completely respectful of a child-friendly home environment.

Perfect for medical staff, teaching staff, shift workers, or standard 9-to-5 professionals who value a quiet, laid-back household.

Must be completely comfortable living in a home with a young child (which means early bedtimes and quiet school nights) with the weeks I have him.

House Rules and Safety Protocols:

This is a relaxed quiet home: This is absolutely not a party house. However, I do enjoy the occasional wine / beer every now and then to let off steam.

Visitor Policy: No overnight guests or frequent visitors to maintain household transparency, safety, and privacy.
Safety Requirement: Due to a minor living on the property, the successful applicant must agree to provide a current police check or hold a valid QLD Blue Card.
