Home Description

Description of the home

Hey there! I’m currently living in a share house in Brighton (Elwood side) just off St Kilda Street. It’s an amazing location, just a 5 min walk to the water and super close to Elwood Beach, shops and Elsternwick park! One of my best mates has just moved out and the other two girls are looking at moving out in Dec/early Jan. I’ve got two new friends (Daria, 26 and Georgina, 26) moving in as well as Daria’s dog, so we have one more room available for a 4th and final housemate. The house is pet friendly and was approved for two small dogs but we would prefer to only have one (Daria’s dog) moving forward.

It’s the perfect share house situation with 4 spacious bedrooms all with their own heating/cooling split systems and en-suites! All the bedrooms on offer easily fit a queen size bed, two bedside tables and draws. They don’t have built in robes but the fact that everyone has their own bathroom and that the rooms are very generously sized with plenty of room for freestanding wardrobes makes up for it! We also have a powder room in the hallway, two storage cupboards and a spare sun room that leads into the backyard (which also has an en-suite 😂) we’ve been using it as a study/extra workspace.

The backyard is a decent size with a BBQ and clothes line. We have one under cover car spot which we take turns using weekly and there is plenty of free off street parking! Rent is super affordable at around $200.00 per week not including bills (which split 4 ways are also super cheap). In terms of furniture and appliances, I’ve got a front loader washing machine and a stainless steel fridge but the girls will be taking all the lounge room furniture (including the tv) and some kitchen items so there’d be an opportunity to bring your own items or we could collaborate and pick out some new furniture together 😊

Here to put the feelers out and see how we go with finding one more housemate to complete our home 🏡

About occupants
Danielle - 29 - works full-time as a Primary School Teacher. Originally from country Victoria but has lived in Melbourne (in share house situations) for the last 10 years so is used to housemate life. Likes her living space to be clean and tidy and respects other housemates’ space/privacy. Quite busy with work Mon-Fri but also loves the social side of having housemates so would be more than happy to occasionally cook a meal together, watch a bit of Netflix, or have a few drinks and nibbles. Easy to talk to and get along with 😊

Daria (26) - studies and works part time in medical admin. Loves going to the beach, is a regular at pilates/any kind of fitness class and doesn’t mind indulging in a cheeky cheeseboard and wine! Comes with a fur baby named Chad, a 9 month old viszla.

Georgina - 26 - has recently finished a degree in psychology and will be making the big move from Adelaide to Melbourne where she will be working full-time as a business analyst. Enjoys good food, wine, the beach and running!
