Home Description
Description of the home
A gorgeous high-ceilinged, heritage listed, 3 bedroom + study home with central ducted heating, a recently-serviced air-conditioner, warm bedrooms flooded with natural light and insulated by sturdy brick walls. The house boasts a beautiful spacious back garden, perfect for a social gathering or chilled out sunny afternoons laying in the sun, as well as rainwater tank, veggie/herb patch, plum tree, jacaranda tree, fire pit, shed and huge garage for all your car parking, storage or winter workout space needs. The house is decked out with all the good things including dishwasher, bath, brand new washing machine, energy-efficient dimmer LEDs for a cosy night-time atmosphere for dinners and movie nights, natural light, plenty of on street parking + driveway. We have scored this dream house via a lease transfer, so please note a lot of the furniture pictured will be going with the outgoing tenants (except for the dining table and beautiful wooden lattice cupboard).
N.B. while the house is on ground level there are some steps on the front and back porches, so the house is not fully accessible.
ROOM: Your bedroom is 3.7m x 4.4m, carpeted and has two spacious built-in wardrobes, along with a large window onto sunset views of Clifton Park. The study is 3.7m x 2.2m which is currently used as an office and spare bedroom - convenient for working from home and having guests stay over. Either just the room or the room plus the study are up for grabs – it’s your choice.
LOCATION: The location is right in the heart of Brunswick, an 8 min walk to Sydney Rd, Albert St Woolies, 19 & 58 tram and 6 min to Brunswick train station. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance as well as parks galore. The Upfield bike path takes you into the city in 15-20 minutes. Brunswick Baths and Moreland Library are a 10 minute walk away, and Clifton Park (with off-leash areas, soccer fields, a basketball court and plenty of other facilities) is literally next door, with coffee roastery on the other side (which means no direct neighbours).

We already have a whole bunch of furniture between us. But keen to potentially swap out some pieces and deck the house out with all the cute things to make it feel nice and homey. Anyone with a record player should definitely apply 😉
LGBTQ+ friendly/inclusive household.
Natalia, 29 (she/her): Actor/arts/festival worker, generally jump from contract to contract and work random/odd jobs mainly around the arts/performing world and festivals. Often playing fun/chill tunes (respectfully) or singing in the shower (not so respectfully). Love cooking yummy foods, being a plant mama, indulging in a kitchen dance party or two, laying in the sun like a lizard and being a silly billy. Constantly doing a “bit” or forcing karaoke sessions upon my friends (and housemates if they are willing). Keen to get into gardening with this new lush backyard and get back into some self care routines via exercise, journaling, yoga etc. A self proclaimed introverted extrovert, love having a chat and a giggle but also love a bit of that “me time” from time to time.
Stef, 34 (she/her): Works in the social sector managing a fundraising website and writing resources about data for NFPs. Loves running, reading, thrifting, expressing herself through fashun and sarcasm, cycling around the inner north in summer, and being a miserable bastard in winter. Spends half of most weekends driving out to the coast trying to learn to surf. Someone once called her competent and resourceful and it’s still the best compliment she’s ever received. Simultaneously idealistic and jaded, earnest and cynical, is always up for a laugh, a beer/wine, doing something active, chocolate and a chat.
Late 20’s - mid 30’s age range preferred. If you have a cute cat and can convince Stef (who likes to pretend she hates cats) then that would make Natalia’s day (who loves cats), however we have heard from the previous tenants that the owner has been weird about pets. No couples, sorry.
If this sounds like something you are looking for, get in touch with a lil spiel about yourself and what rent option you prefer (1 bedroom OR 1 bedroom + study).
