Home Description
Description of the home
A cosy sharehouse near the Merri Creek, tucked in behind Joe’s Market Garden. The home has a peaceful, friendly vibe and plenty of outdoor space, with front and back gardens including veggie beds, fruit trees, and a nice sunny porch to read a book.
The house includes a separate living area, a kitchen with dining space, and central heating and cooling. There’s one bathroom, two toilets, and a separate laundry/outhouse. Polished floorboards, wooden architraves and mushroom tiles in the kitchen contribute to the character of this 1950s home.
The available room is spacious, with built-in robes, polished floorboards, lots of natural light and garden views.
Located just a 1-minute walk to Merri Creek and a 3-minute walk to tram #1, with local favourites Sweet Nectar Inn and Big Elma’s just up the street. Tram #11 is also within walking distance. Our neighbour Molly the parrot is always up for a chat.
Best suited to someone who appreciates a calm, clean, communicative home.

I am working full time as a High School Teacher which keeps me pretty busy! Around the house I enjoy gardening, playing a board game or watching a show, always with a cup of tea in hand. I have made many a good friend from share housing so it's always nice if it works out that way. On weekends I like to get out in nature for fresh air, exercise and new adventures; I love exploring new places! I enjoy meeting people from other countries. I also love a casual music jam though this very rarely happens.
Harley:
Name's Harley, work full-time in landscaping. Overall I like a place we all feel is home and not just roommates, where we can have a laugh and a wine/coffee. I'm the type of housemate that'll ask if you need anything when I do a supermarket run, cleans up after themselves and will come help with a fb market place find. I'm an easy going guy not expecting my quirks to be your quirks and won't hold it against you, I like to keep the place tidy but not in an anal way. I've had housemates most of my life so have a great understanding on how to share communal areas and have made great friends through the process. I like getting up to all the usual stuff catching up with friends, gym, love chilling at home playing PlayStation but also enjoy getting out of Melbourne, whether for hikes, day trips, camping but also happy to head out for a drink nd boogie.
- Like to keep things clean
- Enjoy a catch-up with housemates over a tea or dinner
- Willing to go on the lease
