Home Description
Description of the home
Incredible location, just off Brunswick St and smack between 96 and 11 lines. 86 line is under 10 minutes walk away.
Walking distance to a Coles, hundreds of restaurants/bars/retail shops, Carlton Gardens is a 5 minute walk, the CBD is about a 20 minute walk.
2 bedder, bathroom upstairs with powder room downstairs, plus a cute courtyard. The available bedroom has a built in wardrobe and sweet city views.
🔸Bathroom with tub, separate toilet. The shower is also weirdly in its own separate room.
🔸2nd toilet / powder room downstairs
🔸Carpeting throughout except kitchen/dining/bathrooms
🔸Kitchen equipped with all the usual kitchen stuff - I have a fridge, microwave, sandwich press, slow cooker, kettle.
🔸Gas stove (IYKYK)
🔸No dishwasher - you’ll get used to it 🙃
🔸Laundry room with washer and dryer.
🔸Ducted heating (slaps in winter)
🔸No AC, there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms though
🔸Courtyard, needs some TLC but otherwise does the job!
🔸Balcony off the front bedroom (room I’m currently in) great for a wine and chat in the arvos
🔸The house is mostly furnished but there’s plenty of space if you’re bringing furniture items - I'm keen to replace the couches in the living room if you have one!
🔸Living room equipped with TV + PS5 - bonus points if u play Fortnite ;)
🔸Not a lot of common storage space outside of the laundry, 2x quite small linen cupboards upstairs and a weird hole under the stairs.
🔸Parking permit available for front of the house
🔸Secure uncovered parking out back (I am currently using for my car but there are multiple visitors spots that are usually available in addition to the permit parking at front of the house)

🔸I work in music which keeps me pretty busy through the week and some weekends. My office is nearby in Fitzroy, I work from home once or twice a week. Free gig tickets included ;)
🔸I like a tidy space but am pretty chill about cleaning.
🔸Love a beer and a yap but also treasure my downtime. Keen for house dinners and hangs!
🔸I don't have friends over / parties very often but appreciate being able to when it suits and totally fine for you to have friends over.
🔸I have a partner who will stay over a couple nights a week, and I at his as well. Additionally I travel for work somewhat consistently through the year so you'll have the place to yourself sometimes :)
🔸I use the downstairs living area as a home pottery studio - it's fairly compact and tucked away in a corner
🔸I'm currently occupying the room with the balcony which is also the slightly bigger bedroom. Happy to have a conversation around switching rooms, especially if you're a couple!
🔸Queer friendly, 420 friendly, SW friendly
🔸I smoke 🍁 and vape - I don't smoke tobacco, happy for you to but outside only pls.
I think I'm quite a laidback housemate and ideally you will be too - household duties such as cleaning, taking the rubbish out, looking after the garden etc are to be split but I'm not interested in arguing about cleaning all the time. Bluntly; if you're anal about keeping a perfectly clean house, I don't think I'm a good fit.
If you fit the above, are keen for a knock off beer and chat from time to time but also enjoy going goblin mode, perhaps a shared dinner or DIY project, you sound great, can you move in right away?
He was rescued from the RSPCA in 2020 and they removed all his teeth - he is toothless and all the cuter for it.
He's a very friendly and cuddly boy. He sheds like a demon though I'm so sorry.
I keep his litter tray in the dining room / kitchen area at the back of the house, it's quite tucked away and not super smelly.
I should be transparent we've had issues over the years with him peeing where he shouldn't. We've had the affected area steam cleaned and will do another steam clean when the outgoing housemate leaves.
In a perfect world you'll be able to feed him if I'm away for work etc but totally understand if you'd prefer not to - I would in that case have friends coming over while I'm away to feed him.
Flatmate Preferences
- Outside okay
- Dogs okay
