THE ROOM:
(Available April 27th) The room is fully furnished and available for 3 months with the possibility of extending for 6 months if all goes well. The apartment and the room are fully furnished to the point where there is no room for you to bring any extra furniture. The room has a brand new double bed, a new 32 inch smart TV with FREE Netflix and perfect picture quality on every channel, a new 3 drawer bedside table, a bedside lamp, clock radio, ample power points, a fan, a new 6 drawer tallboy inside a 2 door BIR, a new gas-lift double bed with plenty of room for storage underneath it, new linen, new pillows, new towels, new doona and new doona covers. The room has a large window which opens and it has a view out to the balcony. The bedroom door has a lock for added privacy, security and peace of mind. The only thing the room requires is you.

I am looking for a female or male who is working or studying. A clean and tidy person. All students are encouraged to apply. It’s a 35 minute tram ride to Melbourne Uni from the tram stop at the corner of St Kilda Rd and Inkerman Streets in St Kilda, which is 150 meters from my front door. Sorry, but I am NOT looking for a couple and there is no room for pets unfortunately. I’m after a quiet person that doesn’t have friends over regularly. I don’t want other people in the apartment on a regular basis, this includes partners.

Home Description

Description of the home

(Available April 27th) Approximately 20 minutes from Flinders Street Station on a tram, the building only has 4 units. It’s a sunny 2 bedroom apartment with everything you need within an 8 minute walk. For an apartment, it’s bright and spacious with plenty of natural light from the windows down one side of the building. The building is 20 years old but it looks new. You can open the windows to allow fresh air flowing through the building easily. The kitchen and bathroom are a good size, the bathroom has a bath and the toilet is separate to the bathroom. The place has a balcony with an outdoor lounge suite, coffee table, plants and a BBQ for your use. In the open plan lounge/dining area there’s a desk in one corner, a large dining table, a wonderful coffee table, a very comfy large couch, a large screen TV with stereo surround sound, a printer/scanner/photocopier, a very effective heater and air conditioner, a bluetooth speaker, timber floors and a nice rug.

NEARBY:
There are plenty of nice cafes, pubs and restaurants in the area, Acland street’s café’s are an 8 minute walk away. St Kilda Botanical Gardens and Aldi supermarket are a 5 minute walk away. Coles, Woolies and the Balaclava train station are an 8 minute walk from the apartment. Melbourne Uni is a one tram, 45 minute tram ride form here. A Melbourne Uni/Carnegie, St Kilda Rd tram (number 67 or Number 3) is only 150 meters away.

About the occupants
(Available April 27th) I am a 50 year old male currently working as a photographer. After work I like to prepare a meal, eat and then tend to, read or watch TV. My weekends are spent taking photos, working, relaxing or sometimes I listen to music while reading. I don’t have friends around very often and I never have parties or play loud music. I like to visit a café on the weekends for breakfast or go out to a restaurant for lunch or dinner and I sometimes catch up with friends for drinks at restaurants, bars or pubs.
Compatible people
I am looking for someone that is clean and tidy, someone that will clean their dishes immediately... and put them away. Someone that will put the inner role of the toilet paper in the bin when they are done with it. Someone that pays attention to details.
