This beautiful house was built in 1912, located in a lush area of East Perth in a quiet street.

Neighbours are lovely and quiet, East Perth station is a few mins walk, the river is a street away for a nice walk or picnic with pals, lots of local amenities nearby, public transport. I walk my dog along the river early in the morning and it sure is a great way to start the day.

The house has an interior packed with character, ducted reverse-cycle air conditioning, large bathroom that we'd both share, medium-large sized kitchen, decent sized space out front, decent sized backyard

I have pretty much all interior furniture needed for us such as washing machine, couch, tables, TV, toaster, jug, fridge - all that stuff. The room has a bed, mattress, desk, chair, clothing stand and a few other things that are already in the bedroom, however if you don't need / want any / all of it, I can remove it. Your room is decent sized, has a beautiful (but non-operational) fireplace that adds a nice zing to the room (I don't have one in my room :( )

There's a little lane behind our house, which is how we access our driveway / backyard by car if needed. I usually park my car there, but don't mind parking on the street if you'd prefer to park there. There is plenty of on street parking, and most people on our street don't park their cars on the street so it's usually pretty clear of any cars. It's safe though.

The house has fibre to the premises internet, 250/25, $50 each per month. The water bill comes in every couple of months and is usually around $100 total. We have gas for hot water and stove, usually about $35 a month.

My current housemate has had to urgently move back to Czech Republic to sort out some family issues, but the move in date is April 18 - anytime from then.

The lease is 18 months, and started in August 2023.

I'm Tai, nice to e-meet you. I'm 36, work from home in IT as an Agile BA full time Monday to Friday, do some volunteering and some Fencing 🤺 too. I love the outdoors, hiking, mountain bike riding, but also love a lot of chill out time. I've been in Perth since 2021 and lived in the hills up until August 2023 when I moved here to East Perth.

Up before the sun at about 5am each day to walk my canine pal, and do some other exercise before starting work at 6.

I'm a laidback, introverted, gay fella, respectful, emotionally mature, kind and a good communicator. I prefer to approach things I know little to nothing about with curiosity rather than judgement. I also have a medical cannabis prescription - if that makes you uncomfortable or if you have any questions about it, I'm happy to chat about that. There's a house bank account I've set up that we can deposit rent and bill money to, which are paid from that account. We can pay another way though, if you'd prefer.

I like to keep common spaces tidy, with chores divvied up between us fairly. I'll work with you on how we divvy this up, could be a roster or could be agreed areas we each take care of, whatever works best for us. I love to keep the garden tidy and spending my time in it...although my thumb is not yet green if you feel me.

The room can be furnished with a queen bed, desk, chair, lamp, wardrobe, rug if you prefer, otherwise if you have your own furniture, you can use that instead.

I have a rescue dog who is a ridgeback x staffy who is around 6 years old. He's a loveable, affectionate, dopey fella who you'll find is great company.

note: the owner wants a max of 2 people living here - i.e. myself and you
