Home Description
Description of the home
About the house: An older style, free-standing 3 bedroom double brick number that's just been renovated inside. It’s got new floors, fresh paint, fresh and functional kitchen and bathroom, and is light, dry and airy inside. There is a ton of free parking just outside, it’s got a huge fully private backyard (firepit + fairy lights in winter, blow up pool and croquet in summer anyone?). It’s furnished with all the essentials (fridge, washer/dryer, sofa, tv, dining table and chairs) and I am in the process of curating and collecting final pieces over the coming weeks. There’ll be art on the walls, lots of lamps for nice lighting, and abundant houseplants!
Location: Bexley is super cute with tons of great food options. The house is well located with 3 different gyms just 3 mins walk from the house, Angelo Agnetis aquatic centre 10 mins walk along a gorgeous forested path; IGA, bottle shop, cute coffee spots, butchers, grocers just a few mins walk up the road. For pilates fans, there are several studios just near Bexley North station. It's a 10 min drive to Brighton Le Sands / Kyeemah dog beach and a 20 min drive to Malabar or Maroubra beaches. To get to the city on public transport, there are bus stops 2 mins walk away, and the closest train station is Rockdale (about 12-15 min walk depending on pace or a 5 min bike ride)

About me: I’m Sophie, a 37 y/o artist. I make sculptures using metal and mixed media, and I will be using the separate garage as my studio (don’t worry, it’s not right next to the house so noise won’t be an issue!). I also work in the architecture/urban design field and spend 3 or so days a week working in Surry Hills. I have a big dog called Bowie, he’s 60kg and has the presence of another housemate (a lazy one that gets in the way a lot). I’m down for themed movie nights and sharing fruit and veg boxes, and I’ll always offer you a cuppa if I brew a pot of tea.
