Home Description

Description of the home

Our large 3 bedroom apartment is set in the heart of the Elizabeth Bay village in the iconic Kelburn Hall flatiron building. The house is actually the former Elizabeth Bay Post Office, meaning it features some cool art deco finishing (retro subway tiles in the foyer and a cool flatiron-shaped lounge room), with hardwood floors throughout, large rooms and the whole place is light, airy with high ceilings and is filled with natural light.

The kitchen and bathroom are large and have good fit-outs and the lounge room is enormous with comfortable couches and great natural light - perfect for reading a book, enjoying a glass of wine or having a nap on one of the huge couches.

We're surrounded by local cafes, but also a short walk from the bars and restaurants of King's Cross and Macleay St in one direction and Rushcutters and Beare Park in the other (for the best dog watching in Sydney).

About occupants
My name is Lexy, and I'm a 35 year old who works in Comms/Marketing in Property. I attempt to be as healthy as possible during the week with a gym after work schedule, but this often falls by the wayside in favour for a glass of wine on the couch with a book. I've held the lease for four years now and am looking for someone who is interested continuing to make this a home with me, rather than just a place they rent.

Max is 27 and works for a law-firm in the city. He's a chilled, laid-back persona (despite being a lawyer ;) and is quite handy with things around the house.

We are both fairly laid back and sociable, but don't get in each other's pockets too much.
Compatible people
We're looking for someone who has steady employment and an active lifestyle and who is happy to have the occasional glass of wine or share a meal at home. We have the odd dinner party here and friends are always welcome, but we're not much of a "party house". We're looking for somebody who is clean and respectful and easy going. We're a pretty cheerful bunch here and always help each other out which we think is one of the nice parts of sharing a home.
