Gorgeous, light-filled 1880s terrace in Redfern. Gas cooking and heating, separate living and dining rooms. Great house to entertain in but also a peaceful retreat. Bath. Loads of books and art. Lots of separate spaces to hang in. One person can have a BBQ in the backyard while the other is watching TV, and neither will hear a thing. There's a cute front porch where you can sit and watch the street go by. North-east facing backyard with worm farm, chillis, herbs, orchids, and tall palm trees.

8 minute walk to Redfern station, two blocks from cafes and bars strip, and the house is still really peaceful. 12 minutes to Chinatown and Central, 15 minutes to Centennial Park, Surry Hills and Newtown. Literally the most central part of Sydney. Loads of supermarkets, groceries, bakers, restaurants, etc.

Bills and expenses

Utilities are around $50 per week for singles. I can negotiate a rental for couples but singles will be prioritised. These are gas (cooking and heating), electricity, water, unlimited NBN internet, Netflix, Stan, Binge, etc. The cleaner is $120 per fortnight, breaking down to $30 each per week.

I’m a writer, artist and casual teacher. I mostly work at home, traditional daytime working hours though I often have to work on weekends too. I'm often out in the evening but when home like to cook, read, watch TV, have friends over. I like a house where people can work and relax in equal measure. Good conversation is always welcome; I also value my own space. I like having the occasional dinner with my housemates. I also value my privacy and don't need to socialise every day.
