Home Description
Description of the home
The house has 2 living room spaces, a dining area, 3 outdoor areas, and 2.5 bathrooms, lots of plants, an internal laundry/dryer and quite a bit of storage space in the attic, and we have a cleaner fortnightly for common spaces and bathrooms.
We have a fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, trays, etc. as well as an air fryer, microwave, dishwasher, pantry storage space, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, and more.
It's in a great location, just behind the Officeworks on Parramatta Road across from the Uni of Sydney, and located between two fantastic pubs - one being The Flodge, where we go to trivia every Tuesday (and actually do alright!). We're also about a 4 minute walk to Glebe Point Road which has a fresh veg market/deli, loads of restaurants, pharmacy, etc., and are a 15 minute walk from Broadway shopping centre.
The closest bus stop to the city is a 2 min walk from the house with busses passing every 5-10 mins (the 470), or about a 5-7 minute walk to all the busses on Parramatta Road that lead directly to Central Station.

Everyone is pretty chill here and as the house is so large, we don't often see each other unless it's in passing, around dinner time in the kitchen, or if we have plans together (like a movie night).
We love a good games night or a chill social gathering and would love our future housemate to be open to joining sometimes, but that's obviously not a deal-breaker :)
We have a few cooks in the house, but don't usually share food (apart from a bite to try here and there when offered!), and will sometimes go for meals as a house for a birthday or on trivia night. We're definitely open to family dinners, though, just haven't planned any yet!
We try to be a safe space for each other - a judgement-free home where there is care and kindness - so are always available to have a chat if it's been a hard day, borrow a shoulder to cry on, or simply need help getting in the house because of a wild night out!
We are a considerate and welcoming bunch, so please feel comfortable having friends over or hosting a dinner party, for example. Most of the gatherings we host here have an open invitation to housemates, and we love meeting new people in case you have friends who want to join, too :)
Everyone in the house is in a long term relationship (two are long distance), so very rarely will there be additional people spending the night unless it's a well-known friend or partner in town for a set period of time. That said, we don't mind at all if a future housemate has overnight guests over at any point.
We all really value honesty and openness, and prefer to respectfully and maturely talk it out, rather than let anything get under our skin, and are looking for a housemate with the same values. Consideration and taking pride in where you live is important to us. Respect for other's personal items and time is a given and we hope for the same qualities in our future housemate.
